My main areas of interest are:
In 2003 I was one of the co-authors for the successful bid for Australian Commonwealth Government funding by the ARROW (Australian Research Repositories Online to the World) project. I was the ARROW Technical Architect. More information about the ARROW project (which has now completed) is available at the ARROW Website.
This was largely centred around the creation of a comprehensive strategy for Monash University (my employer at the time). For more information see Treloar, A. (2005). "Developing an Information Management Strategy for Monash University". In Proceedings of Educause AustralAsia 2005, Auckland, April.
This was my major research focus from the mid-90's to the early
00's. Many of my early conference papers, as well as my doctoral thesis
deal with this area. My
interest in this area has now morphed into the relationship between
publications and associated scholarly outputs, with a particular
emphasis on data.
My publications are available here, grouped into categories. Alternatively, use the navigation bar below to jump directly to particular sections of the publications list.
The most cited publication to date has been one explaining the Data Curation Continuum. Anyone who wants to re-use the diagram in this publication can find a CC-BY licenced version here.
I also have a list of publications documenting imaginary research that has not (and probably should not!) be undertaken. These publications are added to on an adhoc basis, often under the influence of jetlag.
