14.3.9 Sustainability

The question of sustainability is a critical one. That is why it was one of the categories (sections 8.X.3) in my discussion of the various library/publishing projects. I also discussed economics elsewhere in the thesis (see 5.4.1: Journal economics on page 84 and also see 6.2.9: New economic models on page 92). I agree that economics is a primary motivator and that collection of appropriate data would be very valuable, provided that publishers would be prepared to provide it.
